Gardenias are a flowering shrub that produce a beautiful dark green shiny leaf and a creamy white flower that sprouts in the warmer months. Gardenias are very versatile and look great when planted as a hedge or in a large mass.
Camellias are a small evergreen shrub that produce a short stalked flower. They can be quite frost hardy but long winters could damage the flowers. They will bloom in Winter to Early Spring.
Bargo River Gum
These are a large tree that grow to around 45 metres tall, they are normally found along waterways but are fine for rural backyards as well. They provide a nice shaded area underneath them.
Springtime Rhaph is a small evergreen shrub that will flower in spring producing large pink flowers. Once it has flowered it will produce a cluster of black berries. This plant is slow growing and will only grow about 1.5 metres tall.
Nandina Plants Picton
Nandinas are an evergreen shrub with its foliage changing colour in the cooler months to an orange/red.
Cordyline Plants (Australis)
Cordylines are a palm like plant, they grow to approximately 3 metres. The work well as a background plant or screen if planted closely together.
The Leighton Green (Leylandii) are a fast growing and hearty plant. They tend to grow in a pyramid form and are great to use as a security screen or windbreak. They grow at approximately 1 metre a year.
Junipers are fast growing with a rich green foliage. They tend to grow straight up as a column. Juniper Spartans are great to use as a privacy screen and need minimal/no maintenance at all.
Buxus (Japanese) also known as Japanese Box, this plant is great for hedging and can be used for almost any landscaping including lining of pathways, creating an edge to a garden etc.
Jacarandas are a medium to large size tree growing up to 10-15 meters tall that produces a blue/purple flower. They are deciduous and will drop their leaves at the end of the dry season. They look best as a feature in your garden and produces a nice shaded area.
